More Spring Cleaning in Winter

Hey! How are you today? Can you believe it's August already? I don't mind because that means that winter is almost over. In fact, the days are already getting longer. 😊

Well, it might not be spring yet but we're already deep in spring-cleaning mode. Seriously, we've spent the last few weeks going through our plushies, collectables, crafty things, stationery, photos, and a bunch of other miscellaneous things. We're even getting a new bed and trying really hard to declutter our bedroom.

It's a lot of work. I mean, as soon as I get stuck into one thing, it leads to another and another. But I don't mind because the aim of all of this is to make our collections smaller, and to actually know where things are. We're even storing things differently. Plastic tubs are doing most of the heavy lifting now.

Personally, I love sorting/re-organising. Holding on to things is something we both do and it's time to get serious about a lot of the stuff we have just about everywhere. It's turning out to be much easier than expected and we've already gotten rid of a LOT. We sold some, donated others, and the rest is just garbage.

It's hard work and takes a long time, but we're both determined to keep going until we've dealt with every nook and cranny. The hardest thing to deal with is the leftover bits. All the homeless maybes that get put aside while dealing with the bulk.

Phew. I'm getting tired just thinking about it. Good thing is that my husband is now officially on a two-week break. This'll help us deal with all the bedroom stuff, as well as having no time restrictions.

In between all of the above, I took breaks by reading an ARC of an awesome short story collection called, DEATH IN ITS MANY FORMS. Seriously, you should read S.H. Cooper's books because she's a great author. Love her writing style.

The other thing I did was daydream about a bunch of ideas that keep getting louder, and played cozy games. I kept up with my daily dose of ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZON + TOMODACHI LIFE: LIVING THE DREAM, and also got stuck into MINEKO'S NIGHT MARKET.

It took me just over three weeks, but I finally finished MINEKO'S NIGHT MARKET last night. Technically, I reached The End last weekend but I wanted to complete everything. Yeah, I'm a bit of a completionist. So I made sure all the townsfolk reached 5-hearts and finished off all the museum collections. Yay. It's an incredible game. Fun and super cute, and has a heartwarming story. There are lots of cats everywhere. I enjoyed gathering all the supplies and the crafting is cool. The Night Market is exciting, too.

So, what's next? Not sure because I'm going to enjoy the next two weeks with hubby. Yeah, we're going to enjoy a nice break together. 😁

Well, there you have it. That's what I've been up to lately.

Have an awesome weekend!!
