I'm now a published author with no currently available published books.  Yep. It's so weird to say that out loud. O_o Last week I received my return of rights letter for the 10 pubbed and 2 contracted books I had with Samhain Publishing. That's two UF series and one S…

The current and  very sudden shift in my author life has really thrown me into a bit of a dizzying spin.  So I wanted to write a blog post about it... While it hasn't changed the fact that I'm still an author and will never stop telling stories, it's definitely thro…

The other day I posted this on Twitter: Yep. This thought really hit me the other day. And it's kinda scary.  I've currently got TEN books published, but--because they're all available at the one publisher--when Samhain Publishing closes at the end of this month,…

By now, you've probably already heard about Samhain Publishing closing at the end of this month . I heard about it in a blanket email sent to authors yesterday. While I was working on the second round of edits for a book that was scheduled to be released by Samhain in April. …

And it's about time I popped in, right? :P See this picture? That's me as a Mii . Hubby introduced me to the Miitomo app  and I have a lot of fun changing her outfits. Plus making cute/cool pictures I can post on Twitter. As well as here. This one seemed very appropriate …

So, last week I mentioned that I was working on the 5th (and penultimate book) in my RECAST series... and I was pretty far along. Yesterday, I actually finished the first draft. Yay.   The total word count ended up being 45,042 . That sounds about right for a RECAST story, becaus…

Hey!   Did you miss me?   I doubt it.   It's been so long that you probably forgot all about me. LOL.   I just realised that I didn't blog once during the month of July. Sure, I posted a bunch of book reviews--that's about the only posting I keep up to date--…

Whoa. It's been another very busy couple of weeks!   As you probably noticed, last week the fourth book in my SFR RECAST series was released. Yay. To help celebrate the occasion, I stopped by a few places to chat about robots and answer some cool questions. It was a lot of fu…

It's from the Library Journal :     You can read the rest HERE .   This review is awesome!   It also made me smile because the reader/reviewer--Melanie-- totally gets this story and series. Loved the references to other characters. :)   I particularly love this l…

Today I'm stopping by...     ... to have a series talk. ;)

That's right.   I spent the last two days reading the PDF proof and emailed the small list of corrections to my editor yesterday. Yay.   Then this morning, I got a surprise in my Inbox: the final copies! OMG. I'm SO excited. I'm really looking forward to this book&…

I took this photo of Loki a few days ago. Isn't he gorgeous? :)   It was early in the morning and shortly after sunrise. He always tries to avoid the camera (I mean, phone) but I managed to snap this one a few seconds before he looked away. It's a very pretty pic of my …
