DIRTY THIRTY by Janet Evanovich

Dirty Thirty (Stephanie Plum #30)Dirty Thirty by Janet Evanovich
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I can't believe the Stephanie Plum series is up to book 30! Wow. It's such an incredible achievement to have written this many books featuring the same main character, plus the family, friends, bad guys, and other zany Trenton residents. But you know what's even better? That after THIS many books, the series is STILL interesting and fresh.

Seriously. An amazing achievement.

When Stephanie is hired by a local jeweller to locate the guy he's convinced stole his diamonds, she accepts. But she doesn't realise that nothing is what it seems, and as she follows the clues, it only leads to more mystery...

So, what can I say about this awesome book? Well, it's another intriguing installment that puts Stephanie in plenty of danger. Her car gets ruined. Her apartment suffers, due to a bunch of different reasons. And she's still having trouble deciding which guy she really wants. It's a tough choice between Morelli and Ranger, which only gets more complicated in this book. 😳

I just love how well Evanovich always manages to weave the dark and dangerous side of things, with the lighthearted fun. I mean, there are SO many hilarious things that happen here. Do I even need to mention Lula and Grendel? Too funny.

Oh, and there's extra Bob content. Who doesn't love that adorable dog? 😅

Anyway, there's a LOT of cool and fun, even dark and nasty, stuff packed into the pages of this novel and I enjoyed every exciting moment.

POLTERHEIST by Laura Resnick

Polterheist (Esther Diamond, #5)Polterheist by Laura Resnick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well, it was about time I read the next book in the Esther Diamond series! 😊

It's the festive season and Esther has to pay the rent, so she gets a job as a jewish elf and Santa helper at Fenster & Co. But weird things are happening in this store, enough to freak out both customers and employees...

This was another super fun addition to this awesome & funny urban fantasy series.

The beginning of Esther's next adventure started out on a freaky and hilarious note. I actually laughed quite a few times, and then found myself wondering what was going on in this weird store. Setting it during the crazy Christmas season while trying to diversify the festivities certainly added to the entertainment factor. It was also a great platform for trouble.

I get such a kick out of meeting a new cast of goofy characters and catching up with some familiar ones. Satsy's in the house and so is Jeff, as well as Lucky. Of course Max and Nelli stop by because Esther needs their brand of expertise. Plus, Lopez just can't stay away. 😅

I actually really enjoyed the sizzling connection between them in this book. I really hope this is the start of something wonderful between them.

Yep. I enjoyed the hell out of Esther's latest tale.

Oh and BTW, I love the book titles and covers in this series.

SAY CHEESE AND DIE! by RL Stine

Say Cheese and Die! (Goosebumps, #4)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Here's the third Goosebumps from my scabby pile. LOL.

I love this cover. Well, I love all the covers, tbh.

When Greg, Shari, Bird and Michael get bored one afternoon, they decide to investigate an abandoned house and end up in the basement.

Greg finds a strange camera and decides to take it. And what follows is one bad thing after another, because this camera doesn't take normal photos...

This was SO much creepy fun! There's a shadow of danger hanging over every single moment. A lot of the stuff I kept waiting for actually happened, and turned out to be much darker than I expected.

Such wickedness satisfied my evil reader heart. 😄

Once again, these kids were great characters to follow. I liked their friendship connection, and how the level of their courage was varied. Greg and Shari were my favourites. They were very interesting and brave. Poor Greg especially goes through a seriously hard time and finds himself in the middle of everything.

Spidey was a very cool addition to the story. Man, he was freaky af. Plus, the ending made me laugh because, of course, I was expecting a twist.

I'm enjoying these a lot.

ADULTHOOD IS A MYTH by Sarah Andersen

25855506
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My daughter's had this book for a while and I've been meaning to read it for AGES. She was sorting her bookshelves today and let me borrow it. Then I picked it up and read the whole thing in one sitting because I couldn't put it down.

It's hilarious--I was laughing my ass off so much--and totally adorable. So cute! And accurate as fuck. I mean the manicure and pedicure thing was SO DAMN TRUE! And so was the bookworm stuff, the PJ stuff and the introvert stuff. Also, the internet connection and the leg hair panels were hilarious. Oh and the slow walkers!!

The artwork is simple but so effective. Comic strips that perfectly portray so much about adulthood and everyday life.

Yeah, this is an awesome book!

FUZZY MUD by Louis Sachar

Fuzzy Mud
Tamaya is on a scholarship to the prestigious Woodridge Academy and every day she and seventh-grader Marshall walk to school together. They never go through the woods. And when they arrive at school they stop talking to each other – because Marshall can't be seen to be friends with a little kid like Tamaya. Especially not with Chad around. Chad-the-bully, who makes Marshall's life utterly miserable. But today, hoping to avoid Chad, Marshall and Tamaya decide to go through the woods ... And what is waiting there for them is strange, sinister and entirely unexpected.

The next day, Chad doesn't turn up at school – no one knows where he is, not even his family. And Tamaya's arm is covered in a horribly, burning, itchy wound. As two unlikely heroes set out to rescue their bully, the town is about to be turned upside down by the mysterious Fuzzy Mud...

Let me start by saying how awesome this book looks! It's a shiny green hardback cover, and I absolutely love the WARNING sign attached to the front and back. Seriously, check it out:

Tamaya is a fifth grader and Marshall is a seventh grader. They both attend Woodridge Academy, and also walk to and from school together because Tamaya's mother doesn't want her to walk to school on her own. They don't talk during school hours so no one knows they're friends. The afternoon Marshall drags her into the woods because he claims he knows a shortcut, something awful happens.

The real reason Marshall wants to avoid their usual route home is because Chad the bully wants to beat him up. Cutting through the woods doesn't keep Chad away. He actually ambushes them. But Tamaya gets them both out of the ordeal by rubbing some gross-looking mud in Chad's face. The two friends escape the bully, but Tamaya develops a really bad rash on her hand.

The next day, Chad isn't at school. He's gone missing. Tamaya's skin irritation is getting worse. And Marshall is enjoying a breather from being bullied. Still, Tamaya can't ignore the fact she knows where Chad is and makes her way into the woods once again. But the kids find a whole lot more than they expected...

I already mentioned how nice this book looks on the outside, but the inside is just as cool. At the start of every chapter, the tiny culprits responsible for a super dangerous outbreak keep spreading along the page. It really is a cool effect and foreshadows how serious things are getting. There are also official documents outlining several enquiries into microorganisms.

Fuzzy Mud turned out to be such a fun and fast read that also tackles serious issues like bullying and the world's growing population problem. The two main characters are very likeable and are just two average kids trying to get on with their lives when they stumble on something out of the ordinary. I read it in one day and couldn't wait to see how things turned out. I have to admit I was really surprised at just how serious things got. It's a clever story that shows just how easily science experiments can get out of hand, no matter what the intentions of the scientist.

I loved the writing style and how on one hand this book can be referred to as light-hearted, while at the same time presenting a very scary (dark) situation.

THE SHE-HULK DIARIES by Marta Acosta

18022019
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG. I loved this book! She-Hulk is a character that I've always been interested in but haven't read enough about. So when I found out about this book I was very interested in checking it out. Glad that I did!

Jennifer Walters starts out the year with no job, no prospects, no apartment, and no boyfriend. She also has a problem with her clothes being ruined. So when someone gives her a journal, she decides to start a diary and set goals for herself. Of course, Jen isn't your average girl. She happens to transform from quiet lawyer to party girl Shulky. She's a superhero, but the others don't want to have anything to do with her.

She-Hulk is fearless, careless, and leaves a trail of destruction behind her.

However, when Jen gets a job with a top firm, things start turning around. Even though she runs into the one guy she really cared about and he's engaged to a Hammerhead. LOL. And it takes her forever to find an apartment. Plus there's a new villain in town: Superbrat.

I had a lot of FUN reading this book. There was a bit of everything: superhero antics, pesky villains, alluring men, great friendships, romance, action, and a cool twist. I loved seeing the tender, caring side of both Jen and Shulky. It was also really cool to see her transform in so many ways and realise that one of her most important goals was self-acceptance of both sides of the same woman.

Like I said, this was great. It's funny, quirky, fun and made me love She-Hulk. She honestly rocks!

THE SHAMBLING GUIDE TO NEW YORK CITY by Mur Lafferty

Sex and the City with monsters! Witty urban fantasy from fan favourite Mur Lafferty, about a travel writer finds she's agreed to write a guide to New York - for the undead!

Following the disaster that was her last job, Zoe is searching for a fresh start as a travel writer in New York City. After stumbling across a seemingly perfect position, though, Zoe is blocked at every turn because of the one thing she can't take off her resume - human.

Not to be put off by anything - especially not her blood-drinking boss or death goddess co-worker - Zoe delves deep into the monster world. But her assignments turn deadly when the careful balance between humans and monsters starts to crumble - with Zoe right in the middle.

There was so much to like about this book, but let me start with the cover. Isn't it cool? I love it. Not only does it have Zoë right there, but if you look closely there are a bunch of supernatural surprises. Like I said, cool. ;)

Zoë Norris is a travel writer and has moved to New York City hoping to escape her previous job and disastrous relationship. She got involved with her boss, who conveniently forgot to mention he was married! Poor Zoë finds out the hard way. So here she is, in the city--which she loves--looking for work, when she finds an ad for the perfect job. She's excited and is eager to apply, but the owner doesn't even want to consider hiring her because he feels the job isn't right for her.

Still, she's determined and a fitting position might not come her way again, so she persists and eventually gets the job with Underground Publishing. Except, she's not going to be writing an average travel guide, she's actually writing one for the supernatural community. And that's how she discovers the existence of monsters--coterie--at a time of upheaval. When, not only does she have to adapt and learn as much as she can about them, but zombies are losing their brains and attacking the living. While others are determined to turn the city inside out and throw it into chaos.

Before she realises it,  Zoë is doing a lot more fighting than writing. But when the biggest threat turns out to be someone from her past, she's got no choice but to face her own demons and hope it's enough to save the city.

The Shambling Guide to New York City is an excellent book! It was so much fun. As soon as I started reading, I was hooked. I couldn't wait to lose myself in this world of the supernatural and slowly peel back the layers at the same time as Zoë. The story is engrossing, the characters interesting, the dialogue clever, the worldbuilding awesome... it's a great addition to the urban fantasy genre, with a twist of humour that made me laugh out loud.

I also enjoyed reading the Guide Excerpts at the end of each chapter, I thought they added to the story's enjoyment. Yeah, I loved everything about this book. It's a keeper! I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

Oh, and check this out:

LOL. right?

WICKED APPETITE by Janet Evanovich

Number one bestselling author Janet Evanovich has created a brand-new heroine in Elizabeth Tucker: Marblehead resident, bakery worker, unlucky in love... and descendant of witches.

Life has had a pleasant predictability to it for Lizzy. That is until a tall, black-haired, dark eyed man shows up in a black sports car, touches her hand and leaves a burn mark. His name is Gerwulf Grimoire, also known as Wulf. And he wants what Lizzy has: knowledge. Almost simultaneously comes another man, a different man, but this one just as dangerous in his own way. His name is Diesel. And he wants several things Lizzy has, only one of them being knowledge.

Unbeknownst to Lizzy, she has the ability to find 'empowered objects'. Turns out, a collection of stones that represent the seven deadly sins have made their way to Marblehead. Nothing bad can happen if the stones are all separated. But if they are grouped together, they have the power to unleash hell on earth. Wulf wants them. Diesel wants to stop him. And Lizzy is the key to all of it.

When I received this book for review, I was excited on several levels. For one, I didn't know that Janet Evanovich had a new series coming out. So, yay! And then when I started reading the blurb I thought: awesome, this sounds interesting. Because mixing Salem, witches, and Janet Evanovich's humour was bound to be a good thing. But then, when I read that Diesel was in it, I was totally sold!

Diesel has made an appearance in every Between-the-Numbers novel, so I thought it would be great to see him in another setting, doing his thing without Stephanie and the gang.

Lizzy Tucker has a nice, average life. She lives in an old house that she inherited from her great aunt in Marblehead (near Salem and Boston). She works at Dazzle's Bakery, which is located in Salem, and makes the best cupcakes. She enjoys her job, and is also putting together a book of recipes that she hopes to sell to an agent and/or publisher. Her life is relaxed, routinal and she's happy with that.

Except, everything changes the day a man dressed in black steps out of his sport's car and into the bakery, touches her hand and leaves a burn mark on her skin. That's the first of many, many strange situations that send her simple life into a downward spiral of danger and the unknown.

But it's not all bad. Diesel (who happens to be an Unmentionable and works for the Board of Unmentionable Marshalls. BUM for short) soon arrives in her life too. He's a persistent and frustrating man who's bound to raise any girl's temperature, and he's decided to stick to Lizzy like super glue. After all, his cousin Wulf (the guy in black) wants to get his hands on Lizzy and use her to find some very powerful Stones he wants to use in evil ways.

She doesn't know what to believe at first, but soon finds herself being thrown into a chaotic new way of life. A life where she happens to be an Unmentionable with skills she didn't know she possessed. Lizzy also manages to drag her employer, Clara, her co-worker and (hopeful) spellcaster, Glo, into the mess. Before she knows it, she's got herself a stalker, an alluring man that's playing havoc with her body, charms that are altering her compulsions, a cat with only one eye that seems to possess some degree of ninja skills, and a monkey who can't stop giving people the finger.

Wicked Appetite is a hilarious, totally LOL-kinda book that I'm sure made me look like a nut while I was sitting on the couch reading it. I say that because it's exactly what my husband and daughter said to me last night. :) But it was worth it, I really enjoyed myself and had a great time meeting this new cast of characters. And since we're dealing with the seven deadly sins, I just know there'll be more books to come. Yay!

Like I said, I'm totally sold on this series and can't wait to see what else happens between Lizzy and Diesel. Because personally, Unmentionables or not, I think they were made for each other.

If you're a fan of the Stephanie Plum series then you'll get a kick out of this one because there are several crossover characters. But even if you're not, you gotta check out this book. It's a total blast!

SINGLE WHITE VAMPIRE by Lynsay Sands

Roundhouse Publishing editor Kate C Leever's first letter to her new author was meant to impress upon him the growing demand for vampire romances. And even though he'd expressed little-to-no desire for any publicity, book tours, or similar, it was clear this was an author just waiting to be broken out - despite himself, if necessary. When she suggested attending a romance convention his response - unusually quick to arrive - was succinct: 'No.'

But Kate was adamant: Mr Lucern Argeneau was going to attend a romance convention and meet his fans. By hook or by crook, despite his reclusive nature and odd sleep patterns, the surly yet handsome author would attend. And she was sure that, once there, he would reveal himself to be a true charmer.

Of course, that was before she realised that his 'romances' were more like biographies and it's literally her neck on the line...

This is the second book in the Argeneau series, a family of vampires living modern lives in Toronto. After really enjoying the first book I was looking forward to reading more about them. This is Lucern's story. He's the writer in the family.

He writes paranormal romance books featuring vampires that happen to have the same names as members of his family. His editor has been pestering him to take a more active role in the promotions of his books, something he has no desire to do. But when she travels all the way from New York and knocks on his door hoping to convince him, his hermit-like life is interrupted. Well, okay, it's changed forever.

Kate C. Leever is a headstrong editor who has to find a way to convince her most abrupt and arrogant writer to take a more active role in promoting his highly successful series.

Lucern Argeneau is the most reclusive of the brothers, but isn't spared his mother's meddling ways. That's how he ends up attending Etienne and Rachel's wedding with Kate. After that, he finds himself actually liking the annoying woman who pretty much refuses to go until he says 'yes', instead of his usual 'no'.

And so begins a funny and sexy adventure between them. A lot of which takes place at The Romantic Times convention, where Lucern meets some of his fans and becomes very involved with his editor. They're both unable to fight the attraction, even if doubts don't entirely fade right away...

Single White Vampire was another fun addition to this series. Once again, the multiple POV added to the reading experience. I also enjoyed the funny situations they find themselves in and laughed out loud several times. Although this story is mainly lighthearted and fun, I also like the way Lynsay is able to weave deep emotional attachments, and even an air of danger into the mix.

I guess it's Bastien's turn next. :)

I AM SCROOGE: A Zombie Story For Christmas

Marley was dead. Again. The legendary Ebenezeer Scrooge sits in his house counting money. The boards that he has nailed up over the doors and the windows shudder and shake under the blows from the endless zombie hordes that crowd the streets hungering for his flesh and his miserly braaaaiiiiiinns!

Just how did the happiest day of the year slip into a welter of blood, innards and shambling, ravenous undead on the snowy streets of old London town?

Will the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future be able to stop the world from drowning under a top-hatted and crinolined zombie horde? Was Tiny Tim's illness something infinitely more sinister than mere rickets and consumption? Can Scrooge be persuaded to go back to his evil ways, travel back to Christmas past and destroy the brain stem of the tiny, irritatingly cheery Patient Zero?

Firstly, I have to admit that I've never read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. I know, it's shameful to admit, but for some reason I've skipped a lot of the classics. :( Still, that didn't stop me from being very interested in this book when I first heard about it. For one, it's about zombies. And I've said it before, nothing says 'Merry Christmas' like zombies tearing the world apart.

I also know enough about the tale of Scrooge to recognise the many similarities in this fun story.

Ebenezeer Scrooge isn't a very happy man. Actually, he's being an introvert since childhood, after he was attacked by a disfigured man in a graveyard. He deals with money and has plenty of it but doesn't like to share. He also doesn't treat others very nicely. To be honest, he doesn't care much for other humans -- even the ones that work with/for him. So when he heads home on Christmas Eve and someone stops him to call out a warning, he walks on and gets home.

That's when all hell breaks loose. Starting with Marley tearing into his apartment. Except, Marley's dead and he seems to have become a... zombie. Of course, Scrooge doesn't know anything about that yet. Not until the Spirit of Christmas Present pays him a visit and shows him what's happening all over London.

This sends him on a time-travelling adventure involving two more spirits. The experience shows him a devastated world suffering from a zombie apocalypse that only he can stop. It changes who he is and how he looks at both his life and Christmas. Not to mention that a lot of his life suddenly makes sense.

I am Scrooge: A Zombie Story for Christmas is a fun story that also happens to be very funny. It's actually quite clever too. I enjoyed the cameo by Dickens and Wells. I have to admit that it got silly in a few bits, but that only adds to the charm of this lighthearted tale. Of course, because zombies are about, there was plenty of violence and interesting ways of taking them out. LOL.

This book made me laugh. A lot. Oh, and the illustrations were a great addition, too. I really enjoyed this book, and who would've guessed the true meaning of Christmas actually involved zombies? Did someone say Zomb-mass? ;)

EVIL CATS

In the hugely successful EVIL PENGUINS Elia Anie bravely exposed the dark underbelly of the animal kingdom. Now with EVIL CATS she is taking on an enemy far closer to home... Think cats are sweet, fluffy creatures with big eyes that can melt even the hardest of hearts? Think again. Violent, devious and utterly amoral, in 95 hilarious cartoons Elia Anie will show all the reprehensible depths to which their behaviour can sink. EVIL CATS confirms once and for all that felines are as capable of dastardly deeds as any other member of the animal kingdom.

I love cats and have a very cheeky one of my own. I also know that kitties can be very naughty if things aren't going their way. And already love the Simon's Cat films.

So when I received this book for review, I couldn't help but smile. I intended to put it aside, and pick it up after I finished reading the book I'd already started, but couldn't put it down. As soon as I opened this book, I found myself turning one page, then another, and another... I kept laughing out loud at what these naughty felines were getting up to.
There are even some 'Oh, no' moments, like this one:

And this one:

LOL. See, I'm laughing again. And these two pics are just a very small taste of what these fluffy but mean cats get up to in this lovely-looking, little book. It's a fast read, filled with laughs and cringing moments. I had a blast looking at this book and loved that some cat sayings make an appearance too! Awesome. This was a great surprise!
EVIL CATS: When Fluffy Cats Get Mean is a fantastic book that every cat lover should take a look at. It would also make a lovely gift for that special someone who loves their kitty. ;)

GHOSTGIRL: Homecoming

Charlotte may have graduated Dead Ed but that's not the end of her story.

Life, for Charlotte, was one bitter disappointment after another. And it seems death isn't going to be much different. Convinced that graduating Dead Ed was her route to the afterlife Charlotte is a little surprised to find she has to complete an internship!

Answering the phones at a help centre for troubled teens isn't proving brilliantly exciting. Until Scarlet calls: a pedicure-gone-hideously-wrong has landed Petula in a coma and Scarlet thinks Charlotte is the only person who can help...

This is the second book in the Ghostgirl series. And just like the first one, it's absolutely beautiful. The slim line hardcover is dark blue this time, but just as gorgeous inside and out. These books are lovely to look at, that's for sure. They look awesome on my bookshelf!

Charlotte might have moved on after graduating from Dead Ed, but now she's stuck working in a call centre for teens. Which happens to come in handy when Scarlet needs her help to save the arrogant Petula, whose slipped into a coma after a killer pedicure.

A lot of the characters from the first book are in this installment, as well as a bunch of new ones - inlcuding one that just might help Petula become a little more grounded. And a girl called Maddy, who becomes Charlotte's friend, annoyed me every time she was on the page. Of course, there's a very good reason for that...

Ghostgirl: Homecoming is another quirky, entertaining, fun book with the perfect dash of dark humour, and an incredible supernatural adventure. The mix of character POVs was interesting, too and kept me reading at a fast pace. Even though I really like Charlotte and enjoyed her story - especially the end - I once again found myself much more connected to Scarlet. She's a very cool character with a lot of potential.

If you like reading YA novels that are a little bit different, but are very clever, then you'll probably really enjoy this one. I know I did!

GHOSTGIRL: Rest In Popularity

Charlotte Usher has always felt invisible at school. But now she has a plan to break into the popular crowd and nothing is going to stop her. Not even death. It's the first day of the rest of Charlotte's life. She isn't going to be invisible anymore. And she's not going to stop at just getting noticed, she's determined that she'll be envied!

Much to Charlotte's surprise her plan actually seems to be working: Petula, the most popular girl at school has finally acknowledged her existence and her lab partner for the rest of the term is none other than Damen Dylan, school heart-throb and object of Charlotte's desire.

It's only a matter of time before she's accepted into their elite circle...that is until, in her excitement, Charlotte chokes to death on a gummy bear. So, ok, it's the first day of the rest of Charlotte's death - why should that change her plans?

This is the first Ghostgirl book and I really enjoyed it! It's one of those books that focuses on just how much teenagers value popularity. It's a hilarious - yet morbid - look at one girl's quest to become popular in a school where she's never been noticed.

Charlotte is sick and tired of being invisible and spends all summer trying to model herself after the most popular girl in her school, Petula. A girl who happens to be self-involved, selfish, and very nasty. Oh, and her boyfriend is the guy that Charlotte is obsessed with.

However, Charlotte's plans get sidetracked when she chokes on a piece of candy and joins the ranks of the Dead Ed. A fascinating group of dead teenagers that remain at the school because they each have issues that need to be resolved before they can move on. Except, Charlotte's not interested in hanging out with the dead and continues to get involved in the lives of the living. Not even death is going to keep her from getting Damen to take her to the Fall Ball.

When Charlotte realises that the goth and broody Scarlet can see her and no one else can, she hatches an insane plan that will finally get her popularity and her dream guy. However, messing with the living and getting stuck in what becomes a selfish plot leads both the living and dead teenagers into a hell of a lot of trouble. Ending in a bizarre and unexpected way.

Ghostgirl: Rest In Popularity is quirky, entertaining, filled with an odd mix of characters, a lot of fun and a very fast book to read. I consumed it in a day because it captured my imagination and I found the dark humour engaging. It's written in a very witty voice that captures all of the characters and keeps you wondering how Charlotte will ever redeem herself and clean up the mess she makes along the way. And I especially liked Scarlet.

I also have to mention that this book is absolutely gorgeous! It's a hardcover book that's slimmer and longer than usual. The cover art matches the fun feel of the story and the inside is absolutely stunning. It's such a pretty book and totally compliments the gloomy story.

I'm really looking forward to the second installment. :)

THE LAST OF THE RED-HOT VAMPIRES

On a trip to England, physicist Portia Harding is stalked by a heart-stoppingly handsome maniac.Theondre North is a nephilim-the son of a fallen angel-who needs Portia's help to change his fate. Problem is, Portia's down-to-earth attitude frustrates beings from both heavenly and hellish realms-and gets Theo turned into a vampire. But at least he has Portia to satisfy his newfound hungers-and possibly save his soul.

This is the latest Dark One novel from Katie Mac. And no, it isn't the last one.

This one was a little different to the previous ones because the hero is a nephilim. Anyway, although the Amazon overall rating isn't that great, I quite enjoyed it! It was a fun read with the usual Katie humour, and a cool storyline.

Portia and Theo connected well too, and I love that we were introduced to the Court of Divine Blood. I'm actually looking forward to finding out what else happens with these two.

Funny book. I actually laughed out loud in several sections. :D
