I really enjoyed the first one, and I'm hoping this one winds up being just as good. Cause Thor will be next and I can't help wondering if there's going to be any mention of him at the end of IM2. :)
Anyway. It's a wet and cool Friday today. For the first time since the seasons changed, it actually looks and feels like autumn. I was watching the drizzle out the window and noticed the breeze sweeping up the leaves as they fell from a tree. It was surprisingly lovely to look at.
Maybe I'm just in a good mood because it's the end of the week and I achieved the goal that's been hounding me all month. lol.
Speaking of which, last night I started reading this book. I have to admit that this is my first Nalini Singh book. I'm a few chapters in and I'm really enjoying it. She's got a lovely writing style and the story's already hooked me in. Though I have to admit that I was a little scared when I first picked it up.
See, I don't know about other writers but whenever I see a book that deals with a similar or the same topic as something I've written, I kinda freak out. This happens a lot with Supernatural. And there are a bunch of books that I've felt that way about too. The cool thing is that once I actually read/watch the book/movie/show, I find the topics/creatures/story/whatever might be the same, but that's where the similarities end. And that's a great thing. I always sigh in relief when that happens, which is pretty much always.
Anyway, this book deals with archangels. As I mentioned during the second draft revision I just finished, The Hidden #5--and the book before it, as well as the one after it--deals with several types of angels. So I'm still freaking out a little as I'm reading, hoping that nothing in mine is the same as this one. Heck, does that even make any sense? lol. Has that ever happened to you? Anyway. If it is, that means I've got some changes to do. But so far, it's completely different to my story. *sigh* <---see! :)
Have a great weekend!
