ROGUE ANGEL: THE SPIDER STONE

In the crumbling remains of a tunnel that was part of the Underground Railroad, a mysterious artifact reveals one of the darkest secrets of Africa's ancient past. Intrigued by the strange, encrypted stone, archaeologist Annja Creed opens a door to a world--and a legend--bound by a fierce and terrible force. She is not alone in her pursuit of the impossible.

I picked this book up on Friday night and got so caught in it, that by the end of the weekend I was done. I've been having an awesome run with books lately. Enjoying everything I've picked up, and man is that excellent! I love to read, and have fallen behind a bit this year. But when I can, I devour the books. And still, my TBR pile is HUGE! :D

Anyway, this is the third Rogue Angel novel, so I'm no stranger to Annja Creed. Actually, I'm a big fan of Ms. Creed. ;) She manages to get herself into a whole lot of trouble in this book too, and I loved it! This is one action-packed story. I swear, the last 30 pages were so fast, and filled with action that I was going insane trying to get to the end. It was an amazing ride! A very vivid ride that I could see play out inside my head like a movie.

To be honest with you, these books would make a terrific movie series!

I really, really enjoyed this book and still have three more to read on my bookshelf! I'm trying to catch up before the next one comes out in July. This one's called God Of Thunder, and I'm very much into Thor so I can't wait. ;)

CRYSTAL CLEAR

Detective Parker Ling just met the woman of his dreams and didn’t even catch her name. Too bad, because now he suspects she’s a serial killer’s next victim.

Sexy psychic Sara Dawson is a life coach and owner of a small independent bookstore in Santa Clarissa, CA. When she’s hired by a daytime drama star needing career advice of the psychic kind, she's unable to foresee his future but is instead plagued by visions of murder -- including her own.

This was another fantastic story! I actually picked this up yesterday afternoon, and read it in one sitting! It kept me glued to the very end. I wanted to know what was going on, what was going to happen and got totally swept up in the suspense and intoxicating attraction between Sara and Parker. There were some very hot moments too. ;)

Everything about this tale was satisfying - from the beginning, right through to the very last word. And I absolutely love the ending. You've just gotta read it! These two characters were intriguing, and I personally would love to read more about them...

I was very, very impressed by Ericka Scott and intend to keep my eye on her other releases.
Crystal Clear is available here, if you'd like to check it out.

WATCHERS IN THE NIGHT

When detective-turned-P.I. Carolyn Mathers was left at the altar, she never once thought her fiancé had been turned into a vampire. Two years later, Gray reappears, bringing murder, mystery, and an unbelievable tale of Guardians, blood-thirsty Killers, and his own transformation with him.

And he's been accused of murder.

I finished reading the first book in the Guardians of the Night series on Monday night, but didn't get a chance to post anything about it yesterday. Man, I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to get into the series. I actually got the second book over the weekend, so cool. It deals with two characters introduced in this book, so I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with them.

Carolyn and Gray really are awesome, well-rounded characters that carry this story right through to the end. There were other points of view that were also great, but I just found myself totally focused and engrossed in the story between Carolyn and Gray. The mystery was also intriguing, and kept me guessing to the end. I was very satisfied when I got to the last page and felt that the story was wrapped up.

I can't wait to sink my teeth into the next one! :D

If you haven't read it yet, check it out! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I've been tagged...

... by Trish!

Here are the rules:

1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.

3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.

4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.

8 random facts/habits about me ...

1. The first time I moved out of home I was 20. The second time I was 23.

2. I'm fascinated with everything paranormal/supernatural.

3. I was 23 when I met my hubby.

4. I'm a total 80s chick. ;)

5. Weekends with the hubby and daughter make me super happy.

6. I named my daughter after someone in Greek mythology, and my kitten after someone in Norse mythology.

I *heart* finishing a first draft

Okay, my Valentine's Day tale is now written. I just wrote the last section about ten minutes ago.

The first draft word count is 24,023. Not too bad.

Woooohoooo! Now it's onto... something else.
;)

THE LAST OF THE RED-HOT VAMPIRES

On a trip to England, physicist Portia Harding is stalked by a heart-stoppingly handsome maniac.Theondre North is a nephilim-the son of a fallen angel-who needs Portia's help to change his fate. Problem is, Portia's down-to-earth attitude frustrates beings from both heavenly and hellish realms-and gets Theo turned into a vampire. But at least he has Portia to satisfy his newfound hungers-and possibly save his soul.

This is the latest Dark One novel from Katie Mac. And no, it isn't the last one.

This one was a little different to the previous ones because the hero is a nephilim. Anyway, although the Amazon overall rating isn't that great, I quite enjoyed it! It was a fun read with the usual Katie humour, and a cool storyline.

Portia and Theo connected well too, and I love that we were introduced to the Court of Divine Blood. I'm actually looking forward to finding out what else happens with these two.

Funny book. I actually laughed out loud in several sections. :D
