This is the second book in the UGLIES trilogy/series. After reading the first one, I couldn't wait to get started on this one. And boy, once I got started, I just couldn't put it down. I actually started reading this book yesterday morning and just finished it because I was totally captivated by Tally's latest adventure.

After what happened to her in the first book, Tally's life has changed. She now gets to see life from the other side. The Pretty side. But it's still not enough. She's just not like other people in the city - no matter how she looks physically.

I absolutely love this concept, and in this book the world just gets bigger. There seems to be a lot more hidden than Tally originally expected. And her being the way she is, she can't help but stumble into trouble. It's one problem after another, one dangerous situation that slips into another. What an action-packed follow-up to the first book. The girl is fearless!

Man, I've been borrowing these books from the library... but I gotta say, I would love to get my hands on copies of my own. This series definitely deserves a permanent spot on my keeper bookshelf.

If you haven't read these books, I highly recommend them. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to get hooked on them.
