Planet LOL

Wow, we had a very cool weekend. The weather was beautiful, too. So we went for a nice, long walk in the city. We parked the car in Glebe and walked into Sydney. I love doing that. Though, we're still all pretty tired after several hours on our feet. Ouch! But it was well worth it.

I picked up two books that were waiting for me. Oh, plus while I was there I picked this one up, as well as this. Lots of cool reading up ahead. :) Last week I also got The Raintree Trilogy. I know these three books were released as separate Nocturnes in the U.S. but for some reason, we got them as a MIRA. And all three in one. I've heard good things about this one, so I'm definitely not complaining about being able to get the three for a very reasonable price.

Oh, remember how I said we were going to have a bit of a zombie movie marathon over the weekend. Well, we didn't get a chance to watch the three movies I was hoping for, but we did watch - Planet Terror.

Has anyone seen this yet? It's part of the Grindhouse anthology. Death Proof is Tarantino's, and this one was the Rodriguez half.

Man, I don't know what everyone else thought of it, but the hubby and I loved it. My gosh, there was a bit of everything in it. I mean, it's no secret that I love me some zombie flicks, but this had just about everything in it - comedy, gore, the yuck factor, wtf factor, story, love, sex, action, heroes, and comedy. Oh, did I mention that it was hilarious? I laughed so hard in some bits. It was awesome. I really, really enjoyed it. That bit where the reel breaks during the love scene was a total blast. Lol. Yeah, this movie rocked.

Like I said, I know lots of people probably thought it was silly in some bits and hell, some it didn't even make sense... but who cares? I, for one, absolutely loved it. I'm now looking forward to watching Death Proof. I wonder if it's just as entertaining? If you've seen these flicks, let me know what you thought of them. Oh, and tell me if DP is any good, but don't give me any spoilers. Lol.

Well, I got some writing done on Friday night, as well as earlier today. I'm now sitting @ 25,843 words and am hoping to get the bulk of my writing done after my daughter goes to bed. Of course, I was hoping to get to 30k today. Not sure if I will, but as long as I can get the first draft of this novella done by the end of this week, I will be happy. :D

Let's hope we all have a great week!
