LOOT CRATE

So, LOOT CRATE arrived the other day:

 

 

The theme for May was UNITE:

 

Here's what was inside:

 

 

 Um. This box was... disappointing. I wasn't really excited about any of the items. Actually, the only thing I wanted was a badge with a cute unicorn from some game I know nothing about. o.O

You win some, and you lose some.

There was a whole lot of nothing in this one.

LOOT CRATE

I'm a bit slow at posting the April LOOT CRATE. We actually received it at the end of last month, but I haven't had time to post anything about it here.

 

So, let's get started...

 

This is what we found when we opened the box:

The theme for April was FANTASY, and I think they did a pretty good job.

 

These playing cards were my favourite item:

 

Plus I also liked what happens when you turn the box inside out:

 

But the best thing about the contents of this box was how dapper Loki looks wearing the bowtie...

LOOT CRATE

LOOT CRATE arrived the other day:

 

 

This month's box is a little slimmer than the ones before it.

 

The March theme is COVERT.

 

We already knew what was in it because we cheated by watching other people unbox theirs on YouTube. LMAO.

 

Anyway, there were some pretty cool goodies packed inside:

This time, the inside of the box becomes a cute cardboard laptop.

Probably with a bunch of secret passcodes and missions from many a covert operation. :P

 

I actually like this one more than last month's.

There are some pretty cool things inside. My daughter ended up getting most of the stuff, but that's cool because I got these:

Two adorable notebooks.

I haven't cracked them open yet, but I heard one is grid and the other is lined. Very cool!

 

Looks like next month's theme is ADVENTURE.

Wonder what they'll pack into that one...

LOOT CRATE

It's that time of the month again! ;)

 

LOOT CRATE arrived last week but I didn't have a chance to blog about it.

 

So, February's theme was PLAY.

 

The box came in pretty good condition this time:

 And here's a closer look at all the goodies:

 

 

As you can see, the inside of the box is an actual board game. And while it's a clever play on words, I don't think this mystery box was that great. It's a little dull, to be honest. But we still had a cool time choosing what each of us was going to have.

 

I ended up with the book. Surprise, surprise!

 

My two favourite things were the book--READY PLAYER ONE by Ernest Cline--and the poster. I should take a photo of the poster and post it as well. It's a really cool Pac-Man cartridge, divided into layers. Very cool.

 

I really hope that next month's box is a LOT better.

LOOT CRATE

So, we recently found out about a very cool subscription service that sends out a bunch of very cool geeky stuff every month. It's called LOOT CRATE. The exciting thing about it is that it's a mystery box. So you don't know what you're going to get each month. The only thing they give you is a theme.

 

January's theme was REWIND. So we were very excited. The box arrived this week. Yay.

We get one box and share the goodies. My daughter got the glasses + badge, and I grabbed the Comic Book Notebook. Everything else is hubby's. ;)

 

I love getting these things because a lot of the time they're exclusive. I can't wait to find out what the theme is for February. We've signed up for six months, and this is actually our second month.

 

This is what December's (theme: ANNIVERSARY) looked like:

 

 

 

There are a few other boxes out there and the one that really caught our eye is HORROR BLOCK. I don't need to tell you what the topic is there, right? I've been a huge horror fan since I was a kid so I couldn't resist. This month's box should arrive soon. I can't wait...
