Spell on Wheels by Kate Leth
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I love this cover and have been meaning to read this for ages!
Claire, Jolene and Andy are witches in their 20s who share a house. When someone breaks into their house and steals a bunch of their stuff, they head out on a road trip to get their belongings back...
This turned out to be such a fun book! The story is so cool. Not only do I love witches, but road trip stories that introduce the reader to other interesting characters is a sure way of hooking me in. And here we deal with power-hungry assholes, an angry ghost, and even a very cute beast.
It kinda reminded me of Charmed and Supernatural, with its own unique flavour. Very cool.
Also, the diversity in this story is so well done. It's just there, in the best way possible. There's an attitude that was full of feminist appeal, and characters you want to spend time with.
The illustrations are beautiful, too.
I love a good witchy tale! ✨
