THE WALKING DEAD, Book 3 by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard

This hardcover features another 12 issues of the hit series along with the cover art - all in one oversized hardcover volume. Perfect for long time fans, new readers and anyone interested in reading a zombie movie on paper that never ends.

This time I read the third hardback book of The Walking Dead, which includes issues 25-36. It also introduces the very insane Governor. Yikes, what a psycho. A crazy psycho who gets what he deserves in the end, imo.

When Rick, Glenn and Michonne head out to find out what happened to a crashing helicopter, they end up in the fortified town of Woodbury. A place that is run by a man who calls himself the Governor and pretty much shows his true--and very awful--colours right away. He hurts Rick, tortures Michonne, and haunts Glenn. The horrible things he puts them through are really shocking, and it leads to his demise. At least, I hope it does. I don't think I want to see this asshole again.

This was another seriously screwed up bunch of stories. But I'm really enjoying this series. It's amazing how much the group deteriorates a little more with each issue. My gosh. I feel sorry for them, and wish that Rick would just stop trying to help people and find things. Seriously. He has to stop!

Anyway, I'm loving these books and have already gotten stuck into Volume 7...
