ROGUE ANGEL: THE CHOSEN

Archaeologist Annja Creed believes there's more to the apparitions of Santo NiƱo - the Holy Child - luring thousands of pilgrims to Santa Fe. Other sightings of strange and anomalous creatures in the area indicate a mystery more profane than sacred - with links, perhaps, to Annja's own fate. But she is not alone in her quest to separate reliquaries from unholy minds who dare to harness sinister power. A dangerous yet enigmatic Jesuit, sworn to protect the Vatican at any cost, a brilliant young artist whose genius portrays a truth too potent for words and a famed monster hunter with a terrifying agenda are the keys to the secrets that lie in the heart of Los Alamos - and unlocking the door to the very fabric of time itself...

This was the fourth Rogue Angel book. Man, is this Annja Creed a cool chick or what? I love to read these books because she gets into all sorts of trouble, no matter where she goes in the world. Honestly, there's always someone trying to kill her. And I suppose, the fact that she has access to Joan of Arc's sword has something to do with it. The way she accesses that sword is totally cool, BTW.

Anyway, this was another fun installment. Of course it was once again action-packed, and even introduced some monsters. How these monsters came to be was totally disturbing. But I won't say anymore. If you want to know, you'll have to read it. Lol.

I especially liked Father Godin in this book. Man, that guy was kick ass! Put him together with Annja and wow - awesome. If you're into action-packed books that just don't stop, then these are for you. Oh, and if you love conspiracy theory-type stuff (which I do) and Vatican-related stuff (which once again, I do!) then you definitely can't go past this series!

And I love these covers too. Check out the God of Thunder cover here. Gorgeous!
