My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I put this book on hold at my local library last year, but something happened and they lost their copy. :( So when I decided to check their catalogue again last month and found it listed, I put it on hold again.
SO glad I did because this was the perfect end to an amazing trilogy!
In order to rescue Cassian's sister, Jacinda has to allow herself to be captured and handed over to the enkros. Horrible people that have been capturing and experimenting on the draki for years. And once she's inside, she realises that although she's found Miram, it's going to be a hell of a lot harder to get out. There are a bunch of imprisoned draki, and one who's especially vicious.
Still, Will and Cassian don't let her down and the rescue happens. Although it doesn't go as planned. And as they try to get some distance from the enkros, they soon realise that hunters are chasing them down. Losing them isn't going to be easy, and instead leads to a heart-pounding battle scene that is filled with action when dragons and hunters collide.
I absolutely loved this book! It fit in perfectly with the rest of the trilogy and continues the passionate love story between Jacinda and Will in a way that makes you wish for their HEA. The danger levels are raised, and everything's at stake. There are also plenty of surprises, twists, turns, and revelations. Plus, the character development is amazing!
Remember how Tamra and Cassian annoyed the hell out of me in the previous books? Yeah well, they definitely didn't in this one. Everyone finds their place in the world, even if they have to risk losing everything to get there. Oh, and Deghan was a great addition to the story, too. :)
Like I said, amazing!
This turned out to be such an interesting and intriguing story. It's well written, captivating, and I enjoyed Jacinda's voice.
I highly recommend this trilogy to anyone who likes an awesome story.
