THE EVOLUTION OF MARA DYER by Michelle Hodkin

Mara Dyer once believed she could run from her past.

She can’t.

She used to think her problems were all in her head.

They aren’t.

She couldn’t imagine that after everything she’s been through, the boy she loves would still be keeping secrets.

She’s wrong.

In this gripping sequel to The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, the truth evolves and choices prove deadly. What will become of Mara Dyer next?

OMG. This book was amazing!

Mara once again wakes up in hospital. But this time she's in a psychiatric unit after telling the police her ex-boyfriend is still alive, and then blacking out. Jude can't be alive because the building collapsed on him.

Then what was he doing at the police station?

After she's eventually released and enrolled in an outpatient program, she tries hard to pretend she's okay. If she can convince her family and doctors that she's got a bad case of PTSD, everything will be okay. After all, her boyfriend Noah believes her.

But nothing is okay. Mara keeps losing time, sleepwalking, and is still convinced Jude is stalking the shadows waiting to get revenge...

Wow! What an amazing, haunting, creepy, and disturbing story this is turning out to be. It's written so well that while I believed Mara at the beginning, I soon started doubting her. There were so many times when it was virtually impossible to figure out if she was delusional or not. Yikes!

I also liked Noah a lot better in this book. The love he feels for Mara is so obvious it's almost painful.

Loved it. Can't wait to read the final installment.
