It's Thursday, already?

As I've mentioned before, my daughter has a bunch of doll-making apps on her iPad. So when she showed me another one last night (MakeME), I couldn't help but make a doll of my own. I love making these things. They're so cute!

So, what's new? I hope you're all having a good and productive week. I've been very busy with this Rewrite:1st-revision I'm working on at the moment. It's driving me crazy! Just when I think I've got a good grasp on what's going on, I find myself deleting and replacing more stuff.

This is seriously turning into a huge rewrite. It's beginning to feel like a different story, lol. Which is actually a good thing.

As of this morning, I've hit page 80/92 and the word count is just over 37k. I still want this to be about 40k by the time I'm finished with it, but I don't think those extra words are going to come during this draft. I need to do another draft after I'm done with this one. I know! It's like a never-ending story, right? :) Still, as long as it becomes a much, much better story at the end of it, I'm happy! And although I know I won't be done after this draft, at least I can be happy knowing that I'm only one more step away from finishing...

So, what else have I been doing? Getting on with real life stuff and reading a few comic books. We also watched the season finale for THE WALKING DEAD. I loved it! I seriously can't wait until the next season starts, which is why I've decided to get stuck into the comic books. And I've also decided that I have to read more zombie books! Like, now.

Guess what I found today? A PATCH OF DARKNESS is now listed on the Coming Soon page at Samhain Publishing. How cool is that?!

Well, that's pretty much it for today. I'm hoping to get stuck into the rest of this revision after I get back from dropping my daughter off at school. It doesn't sound like much--I have 12 pages left--but yesterday it took me all day to revise 9 pages! O_o
