Very Summer-y

Not sure what the temperature is, but it sure feels like a nice sunny, summer day today! I guess we'll get a few of these days during the end of this month as a way to farewell summer.

Just finished getting words done for today:

( #########======== )
43,683 / 80,000 : 54.6%

I'm very happy with the progress I'm making with this novel - not just the word count but the content. There's so much going on at the moment.

Well, after I pick up my daughter from school today - which is only about an hour away - we need to come home, get her changed out of her uniform and walk over to a birthday party. I know, it's a strange time to have the party - 4pm to 6pm - but she wants to go! So that'll suck up most of the afternoon and by the time we get home, the hubby should be home from work too. And that's when the weekend begins!

Hi Yo! Have fun with the family stuff. Glad the writing is going well. I'm STARTING to get a handle on things again... sort of. Writing is in small chunks, but I AM writing. We've been getting good news too. I do pop by here most days, even if I only lurk, so watch what you say about me! ;)

Yolanda, just looked at your profile page and I see that you like a lot of the authors I know or talk to on-line. I met 3 of the authors you like in person and I talked to 3 others on-line. Of the rest on your list, I know of one, but the rest I am not sure who they are (are some of them Australian writers?).

Cie, only got nice things to say about you... always! :)

Oh and Jim, which authors do you NOT recognise? And which one's have you met in person?

As for my stories... do you mean short stories or novels? And speaking of which, have you checked out my short stories on the sidebar yet? ;)

I don't recognize the names Janet Evanovich, Simon R Green, Rachel Caine and "Bombshells?" I've met Clive, Anne and Laurell.

Hey Jim!

Janet Evanovich is American. She writes the Stephanie Plum series. It's a hoot! I love this series.

Rachel Caine is also American. She writes the Weather Warden series - I've got a link to her website on the sidebar. Cool writer!

Simon R Green is British and he writes the wonderfully dark NIGHTSIDE series. It's very cool!

And finally, BOMBSHELL is an imprint of Silhouette/Harlequin. It's an action/adventure imprint with kick-ass chick characters!

Hope this helps.

:)
